From the thrill of a spring garden to the joy of counseling people, Tabi Upton loves to watch things grow. Change often begins with the smallest shift in thinking and awareness, but can be so transformative that the end result looks like something wholly new. Tabi Upton is a counselor, writer, and local media personality, but most of all, she is someone who loves helping people grow.
Counseling and Self-Help Resources
As a licensed professional counselor, Tabi enjoys meeting with people and hearing their stories. “Being able to walk with individuals through their unique journeys in life has been a humbling and rewarding experience for me.” Her counseling style is geared toward the “total person” and focuses on the connections between physical, mental, and emotional health, as well as spirituality. She offers both faith-based and secular counseling to meet the needs of her clientele. Her counseling interests include adolescents, depression and anxiety, coaching for career or life changes, singles issues, women’s interests and more. Media and Community
Tabi loves all forms of the media. Her column, Mind Matters, appears bi-weekly in The Chattanooga Times-Free Press. She is one of the local hosts for Chattanooga’s longest running community talk show, Point of View, facilitated by Booker Scruggs. She regularly dishes on social topics with DonnaL and Eric Foster’s Power94 Radio Morning Show. She also enjoys presenting workshops to community groups and churches. Workshop topics have included the following: overcoming depression, moving past unhealthy relationship patterns, living single, making the most of life in difficult times, etc.
Faith and Beliefs
Tabi has been on a life-long quest for more understanding of who God is and why He loves her so much. She describes herself as an expansive Christian who is ever learning about the wondrous and never ending adventure of intimacy with the Father. She loves to tell people her story of finding God. Trip To Haiti Postponed
Dear Friends,
On Thursday, March 11, we found out that the trip to Haiti will have to be postponed. Unfortunately, the route we (another counselor and myself) had hoped to take (Nassau to Les Cayes by charter flight) was closed. We tried alternatives but nothing seemed to work out. We are prayerfully going to go later on this year, as our hearts are still turned toward Haiti. Thank you so much for your prayers and financial offerings. I love you all!
